One of the biggest buzzes in the heavy music underground is the awesome new record from INTEGRITY. Their new album Howling For The Nightmare Shall Consume marks the band's Relapse Records debut, so this is an opportune time to finally get them on the horn. We were expecting to talk to mainman Dwid Hellion, but were pleasantly surprised to get new(ish) axeman Domenic Romeo on the other end. Canadian crusty grinders FLASH OUT may not be on the tip of the brain of the majority of extreme Metallers. Recently, Canadian thrash legends ANNIHILATOR made metal history with their first tour of their native soil in roughly 25 years. As stoked as we were to hear some old faves live, Montreal metallers MUTANK must be stoked many times over being able to share the stage with them. We're embarrassed to say that Mutank only got on our radar upon this tour announcement. Horns down to us for that as they have a fantastic tale to tell. A tale that vox/bassist Stephan Reynolds and axeman Costa Skoulikas were more than eager to share. So what's in a name? You've started a band. You got all your ducks in a row and now all you need is a kick ass name. Your monicker is the first and main representation of your band. So you better make it a good one. But sometimes it seems this basic piece of advice is hardly applied. When we dive deeper into the Metal world, we start to find  some ridiculous names that makes us go "WTF! Who ever thought that was a good name?" Really now - NUCLEAR VOMIT? DEATHFIST? WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER??!! *sigh*. This week's Creature Feature is an example of one of heavy music's great joys. Quebec City's hardcore crossover thrashers GET THE SHOT came through town in a supporting role. We pride ourselves on having a tight grip on the extreme music scene, but we have to admit that GTS totally escaped our notice. When we saw this band on the bill, we did our homework and... Wow! John Joseph literally wrote the book on NY (worldwide, actually) hardcore. Tours with multiple established bands are "win" situation all around. For fans, it's more bang for the buck. For the artists, it's a chance to travel with and hang with a number of friends (or make potential ones).
