UK deathcore meisters INGESTED are currently terrorizing the Metaldom as part of the "Devastation Of The Nation" tour. But beforehand, they were looking to inflict some damage solo. We recently had the pleasure of having Norwegian symphonic goth metallers SIRENIA come thru our neck of the woods. Still promoting their latest record, "Dim Days Of Dolor", this marked the first time the band has graced us with their presence. The mainman behind the music is axe/keysman Morten Veland . Veteran NY thrashers DEMOLITION HAMMER played an important role in the history of the extreme metal underground. DH made their debut with their classic "Tortured Existence" album on the very young and fledging Century Media Records at the time. This album, along with a handful of other key releases, helped build the foundation for the CM that we all know and love. The band's tenure would be short lived, releasing only two more records. The last couple of years have seen DH on the comeback trail, including a stop at The Manitoba Metalfest. Amongst the backstage chaos, we spoke with original members Steve Reynolds (bass/box) and axemen James Reilly and Derek Sykes. We got into the inspiration for the comeback and went into the illustrious past and active future. We see a pattern here. It was this time last year that we ran our first (!) ARMORED SAINT interview, a real cool chat with Joey Vera. Now this year, The Saint march into summer with a pretty cool gameplan. Throughout July and August, the band will hit the road playing the "Symbol Of Salvation" record in its entirety. The band's extensive discography does have some bigger, more well known albums. But "Symbol" holds a special place for The Saint and their diehards. Progressive NY death metallers UNCURED are a unique story. Generally our Creature Feature segments are reserved for established veterans on reputable labels with larger followings. Uncured though are unsigned and basically doing it D.I.Y. One just would never know it. With their extensive touring and promotion, they appear to be the blueprint of a big label's promotions.  Three quarters of the line up are barely into their 20s but accented by veteran DIECAST bassist Jon Kita! So when Uncured came through town recently supporting the mighty SOULFLY we had to get the 411. We discussed the excellent "Medusa" record, the band's unique (lineup) make up, and their awesome work ethic.
