Episode 533: Hump Day 13 - interviews with Wednesday 13 and Sonic Pulse
Friday Dec 07, 2018
Friday Dec 07, 2018
The wonderful world of rock n roll is full of cool characters. Wednesday 13 is one such character. For the uneducated normies, we always liken Mr.13 to a "modern day Alice Cooper". The dude has a storied career with no let up in sight. Most notably his latest platter (and Nuclear Blast debut) "Condolences". Wednesday recently came thru town making it an opportune to hang out with him. We discussed said record plus his love of horror flicks and 'The Nature Boy". Whoooooooo!! Aside the the creepiness and zaniness, Wednesday has a real ear for talent. Pounding the skins for 13 is Kyle Castronovo. If that name strikes a familiar chord, old timers will remember the senior Castronovo behind the kit for Journey. So there was definitely a story there with Jr. to which he was eager to share. But the awesome characters/guests don't stop there. WE spoke with former Horror Pain Gore Death recording artists Sonic Pulse in our "Extended Indie Spotlight". They gave us the 411 on their new record "Vs. The Internet". In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we go over what we're looking forward to in '19, Steel Panther in "sex" rehab, the infamous Witchrot band breakup announcement, and "No Nut November" (??!!).Musically we crank our guests plus the new Lucifer's Child, hardcore bashers La Armada and BloodStrike!! Horns!!

Episode 532: Skullduggery - interview with Mem Stein of Exumer and Skullpit
Friday Nov 30, 2018
Friday Nov 30, 2018
This week real life gave us a real cheap shot in the pit! To the point where Snowy found himself going about this episode all by his lonesome. So lets call it a "Snowlo" episode, shall we. Not to be deterred, we weren't not going to let a single second of the show suffer. We kept all the usual segments, particularily the "Creature Feature". This time 'round we speak with none other than Exumer vocalist Mem Stein. Already big supporters of his day gig, we are stoked for his new side project, Skullpit! A new endeavour collaborating with Church Of Misery's Tatsu Mikami. We got on the horn with Mr. Stein to discuss the coming together of these musical titans and the brilliant debut record. We had to discuss some Exumer, especially the early days and their oft over looked mascot-with-no-name. Awesome stuff! In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we go over sex in the front row at a Machinehead gig and give the "Horns Up!" to Testament's Chuck Billy, Every Time I Die axeman Andy Williams, and the recently announced "Black Flags Over Brooklyn" festival. Musically we crank some Skullpit and some new tunes from Sodom, Scolex, Deadpressure, Flash Out, and Esben And The Witch. Horns!!

Episode 531: Mythological Metal - interview with Ashes Of Ares
Friday Nov 23, 2018
Friday Nov 23, 2018
We got stoked for the announcement of a new Ashes Of Ares album for a variety of reasons. First off, its the long awaited follow up to their five year old debut. The effort's monicker took us back to the first Indiana Jones flick (!). But most importantly, it afforded us the chance to have a long time coming sit down with mainman Matt Barlow. Metallers will be familiar with Mr. Barlow for his amazing discography with Iced Earth. Now he's remaking Metal history with his sorta new "offering" (ha,ha), Ashes Of Ares. We discussed the new record "Well Of Souls". As well as his tribute to the late, great Chris Cornell and his career as a police officer(!). In our 'News, Views, and Tunes", we share some war stories on the live front, go further in the the Oli Herbert saga, and give our 2 cents on the "Decibel Top 40 Albums of 2018". Musically, we crank the new Ashes... record plus the latest efforts from Tomb Mold, Ken Mode, Evoken, Fleshreaper, and Wristmeetrazor!! Horns!!

Episode 530: Hold The Cheese - Mac Sabbath and Untimely Demise interviews
Friday Nov 16, 2018
Friday Nov 16, 2018
New sub genre! How about "Drive Thru Metal"??!! Never one to stray from unique interview opportunities, we just had to speak with one Mac Sabbath (not a typo)! As kids of the appropriate age, Mac Sab is both a pleasant dream and a brutal nightmare. Since the members of the outfit don't actually speak, we sat down with manager extrodinaire Mike Odd to get the 411 on this bizarre combo. Mr.Odd gave us the origins of MS, explained the "Odd-itorium" and shared where this as going in the future. Order up!! Mr. Odd was gracious enough to share our stage with our old buddies in Canack thrashers Untimely Demise. The boys were in town recently to celebrate the release of their latest release "No Promise Of Tomorrow". We sat down with axeman Matt Cuthbertson (Into Eternity) for a chat in our "Extended Indie Spotlight". We discussed the new record, working with artist Ed Repka and guitarist Bobby Koelble (Death) and being tapped for I.E. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we discussed the announcements of some major tours, new unique Anal Trump (!) product, and give the Horns Down to greta van fleet and king 810. Musically we crank our guests and new tunes from Cripple Bastards, Ektomorf, and Hate Eternal! Horns!!

Episode 529: To Eternity And Beyond - Into Eternity interview
Friday Nov 09, 2018
Friday Nov 09, 2018
Hailing from the Heavy Metal hotbed (!!) of Saskatchewan, Canada, come the mighty Into Eternity. Long established veterans of the Metal scene, I.E. are on the comeback trail after too many years between full lengthers. A major reason the band's back the right path is the addition of veteran axeman Matt Cuthbertson. Our good buddy Matt is no stranger to this show. He's graced our presence numerous times with his other outfit, Untimely Demise. This outfit was recently back in town for a record release party for their latest effort, so we took it as an opportunity to get the 411 on everything in the I.E. camp. We discussed his coming into the fold, the awesome new album "The Sirens", and their new home in upstart label, M Theory Audio. Awesome stuff! In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we discuss Tom Araya's trolling attempt and tim lambesis' controversial Halloween costume! Musically, we crank new tunes from I.E., Artillery, Rottenness, some classic Sacrifice, and introduce Baltimore's Graven in our "Indie Spotlight"! Horns!!

Episode 528: Significant Betters
Friday Nov 02, 2018
Friday Nov 02, 2018
The Music Biz has more than its share of unsung heroes. This day and age to "make it" in the Metal World a band has to be constantly out on the road. Just like any other form of entertainment, more often than not, the artist leaves their spouse at home while he/she pursues the Rock n Roll dream. Very seldom is the story of these significant others ever heard. "Blue" Spinazola (Fit For An Autopsy, Dysentery) is one of those road warriors and a good friend of the show. A package deal with "Blue" is his girlfriend Caitlin. She's a perfect candidate to represent this silent, but important, group. We had an awesome chat with Caitlin discussing dealing with him on the road and all the trials and tribulations it brings. Words of wisdom you won't soon forget. In our 'News, Views, and Tunes", we had a unique chat with none other than Micheal Myers about his new, smash "Halloween" film. As well, we get into Disturbed piercings, Marilyn Manson dildos, and the recent success of the returning As I Lay Dying. Musically we crank new tunes from Marduk, Craft, Blood Of The Wolf, and introduce Ottawa's Ominous Eclipse in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns!!

Episode 527: Unleash The Metal - Unleash The Archers interview
Friday Oct 26, 2018
Friday Oct 26, 2018
What's in a name? For a Metal musician, the surname (stage name?) of Slayes is most appropriate. Brittany Slayes, vox of Canadian power metaller, and Napalm recording artists, lives up to her moniker. Case in point - all throughout the band's recent North American tour. WE caught up with Miss. Slayes as they came thru town on one of the few remaining dates. We had the pleasure to discuss all the whys and wherefores of the band including their most recent effort "Apex", the said tour, and their very Metal band name. In short, Brittany slayed!! In our " News, Views, and Tunes", we had a quick round table with close RAM friends Ninjacat Prod.'s Cory Thomas and "Ducky" Dustin Maruca about the new "Slave To The Grind" documentary. We also go over the legalization of marajahoobie in Canada (eh) and have an animated conversation about the recent Decrepit Birth stage diving incident. Musically, we crank Unleash..., Altered Dead, Carpathian Forest, and the legendary Agathocles! Horns and Happy Halloween!!
