Another Record Store Day is in the books! In our travels, we had a few misses. But the hits were nuclear! Apart from the cool new official releases, RSD is an overall experience. Hopefully with stories to tell for years to come. So this week we're sharing said experiences and basking in our RSD treasures. Both official and unofficial. As well, with the arrival of the american idol "reality" type bullshit programs, we championed the idea of giving a similar stage to real musicians. Artists creating and showcasing their original compositions. Enter - "No Covers". A cool new YouTube program feat. judges like Alice Cooper and Lzzy Hale. It's a great show so you know it's not on network/normie television. When a feature film that focuses on The Metal World is unleashed, it obviously gets said World rocking and rolling about it. Initial reports has the new Netflix flick "Metal Lords" to be a polarizing topic. This week we do a deep dive into this all too familiar story. Mr. Dan Lilker recently announced that Nuclear Assault will be hanging up their leather spiked boots soon. Our interest in the outfit actually predates NA themselves as Lilker was the bassist on the Anthrax debut. So we've been a fan of the NY crew right from the get go. With this announcement, we felt it was a good time to pay tribute to NA. We go over all our fave music and moments and the multiple connections to this very show. Thx Guys! But there are a variety of bands that have their own ideas of trademarks that we may not even take notice. For instance, Kerry King's arm spikes, Corpsegrinder's neck and various guitarist's signature designs. So we do a deep dive into all these. You'll be surprised with what we came up with. Realistically, the only award Metalheads care aboot is the "HR/HM Album Of The Year" Award. Regardless of who brings home the gold though, the winners will be our listeners. As is tradition around here, we go over our picks and predictions with our "Will and Should" segment. Namely, who SHOULD win. And/but who WILL win. We're stoked for all the nominees! So America just had their big annual sportsball extravaganza - The Super Bowl. Did your team win? Do you care either way?
