Over the years, expressions and ideals have a tendency to change with the times. What may be a mainstay in the Metal vernacular thirty years ago, may mean something totally different today. Case in point – Metalcore. The mid-eighties had it’s own version in the form of Crossover: it was the melding of metal and punk to create its own sound and subgenre. One of the leaders of this rat pack is the mighty CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. In another bucket list moment, we sat down with COC original Woody Weatherman. We discussed the band’s very varied back catalogue, being a pissed off punk, and the renewed relevance of tunes like “Vote With A Bullet”. In our News, Views, and Tunes, we have a variety of animated discussions including our involvement with the Juno Awards (!), more of what Phil’s white wine hath wrought (!!), and apparently one of us is married to Glen Benton (!!!) Finally, we crank some old school COC, MOD, the new INVERLOCH, NY hardcore MANIPULATE, and some classic DARK ANGEL. Whew! Horns!!
