Episode 660: Lori's Mom - "Metal Muthas" with Barbara Bravo
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
We've never hidden our love of Decibel magazine. We've been monthly readers/subscribers for years now. We've chatted about it endlessly and have interviewed contributors. A fave regular feature has been the Metal Muthas column, where the mother of a prominent artist is interviewed. Well...we thought we'd give it a go ourselves. Our fandom of legendary deathmongers Nuclear Death goes back decades. Our friendship with mainperson Lori Bravo has really blossomed over the past year. Thru that we've gotten to know Lori's mom Barbara Bravo, making her the ideal candidate for our inaugural Metal Mothers feature. "The Mumster" shares with us a little bit about herself, what Lori was like as child and, of course, her first reaction to hearing the brutality that is Nuclear Death. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we share our Record Store Day booty and make our picks for July's RSD releases. Musically, we crank new stuff from Witch Cross, Lucifer's Hammer, General Surgery and Killing Addiction. Plus some classic stuff from Nuclear Assault, Slaughter and introduce Wyoming metallers Fell Harvest in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy!

Friday Jun 18, 2021
Friday Jun 18, 2021
Unfortunately, this week Aaron was unable to join us. So with his blessing, your "Cool Uncle Snowy" set out and enlisted a suitable co host. Death Metal trailblazer (and good friend) Lori Bravo (ex-Nuclear Death) has dropped her amazing new solo album "Bare Bones". So it made for a perfect opportunity to get her back on the show again. We discuss the new album, her almost relationship with Autopsy's Chris Reifert and the impending ND Moribund reissues. Miss. Bravo was happy to share the spotlight with death noise rockers Yautja. The outfit just dropped their new record "The Lurch" via Relapse. We got drummer Tyler Coburn on the horn to give us the 411. Musically, we crank the aforementioned Yautja and Bravo records + some Nuclear Death, Autopsy, Graveripper, Debauchery, Impetigo and Mutilation Rites.

Episode 658: D.I.S. And Dat - interview with Destroyed In Seconds
Thursday Jun 10, 2021
Thursday Jun 10, 2021
Last year we were blown away from Calif. crusties Destroyed In Seconds latest album "Divide And Devour". D.I.S. have a cool crossover sound that appeals to Metalheads and Punks alike. It took awhile but Deep Six Records came correct and released a sweet vinyl edition of said album. We were so stoked with the presentation we had to speak with vox Jon Tamala. He gave us the dis and dat on the new album plus sharing the stage with hardcore legends and putting over his bandmate's other outfits. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we discuss censorship with regards to a Texas art teacher and make a hockey bet with a veteran Canadian Metal band. Musically, we crank the new D.I.S., Flotsam And Jetsam, Phobia, Victims, Entropy, Inhuman Condition, Children Of Technology and introduce San Diego's Nightshadow in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy!

Friday Jun 04, 2021
"I love it when that happens!" These were the enthusiastic words spilling out of our mouths when we found out we were going to be speaking with German thrash veterans Desaster. On the day of the release of the outfit's new album!!! "Churches Without Saints" is full lenghter #9 (!!) from these Teutonic Terrors. And while some of their fellow country brethren might get the lion share of the attention, Desaster has been making waves of their own. This is a perfect time to talk with string bender Infernal as he's been front and centre from the get-go. We chatted the new album and our mutual love of all things vinyl and Destruction. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we discuss the Ellefson firing and say R.I.P. to "Spazzy McGee". Musically, we crank the new Desaster plus some Couch Slut, Grave Miasma, Empty Throne, Living Death, Exhumer, Adversity and feat. newly independent grinders Gadget in our "Indie Spotlight". Episode 652: Heavy Metal Delorean
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
No "Creature Feature?" No pro-blem-o! Here at the RAM offices, we're veterans of the scene. A.K.A. we're old. Having gone heavy music full time in '84, we've seen a lot stuff about our beloved genre come and go. While we look back fondly on what was, there is a number of cool stuff from today we'd love to take back to those glory daze. On the flip side, there's a number of cool stuff from yesteryear that we'd love to see as a part of today's scene. So we put on our thinking helmets and share our thought on creating a "fully armed and operational" Metal World! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we crank new tunage from Artillery, Pestilence, CroMags, Bongzilla, Morbosidad and introduce Pennsylvania's Befell in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy!

Episode 651: Radioactive Wrasslin' - interview with Nasty Savage
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
More and more the connection between our beloved genre and the world of professional wrestling is getting stronger and stronger. Ring entrance music, gimmicks and, most importantly, a lot of wrestler's themselves are real life Metalheads. One of the original crossovers is Nasty Savage maiman "Nasty" Ronnie. In our youth, we started out as Nasty Savage fans. But then we really "marked" out when Mr. Ronnie took his outrageous stage antics to the squared circle in his home state of Florida. Ronnie was actually a "Bucket List' interview from the get go, and with it being Wrestlemania season, getting him on the horn was an easy match up. We discussed the early years of NS, his journey into the mat world, right up to his "Born To Ride" TV series. This being a special wrestling episode, we enlisted the talents of "Ducky" Dustin Maruca and Matt Copper from our sister show "Wrestling Night In Canada". We discussed Ozzy going into the WWE Hall of Fame, the Misfits stint in WCW, and our picks for musicians that would make great wrasslers! If all this doesn't get us the Three Count then musically we crank some Savage, God's Hate, Hirax, Piledriver, Hallow's Eve, AntiSeen, Brody's Militia, and Eat The Turnbuckle! Horns Up and Stay Healthy!
