The Grammys are in our rearview mirror. Here in the Great White North, that means it's time for the Canadian equivalent, The Junos. Of course, the only category that means anything to Metalheads is the "Hard Rock/Metal Album". And as is tradition around here, it's time to play the newly christened "Head or Heart" game. A segment where we share who we'd like to see win. As well, we pick who we think will win. The "scene" is an important breeding ground for young talent to get their chops in before moving on to bigger ("better" will always be subjective). And it's a great source of weekend entertainment. We ended '22 with some absolutely gut wrenching news. We lost documentarian, journalist and all around great guy, Bob Nalbandian. Bob's credentials are vast. He's worked with renowned record labels and wrote for promininent magazines. Most importantly, he was a friend. RAM was on the ground floor in podcasting. As was his "Shockwaves" program. So of course we became fast friends. So this time 'round we forsake most of our segments and just talk Bob. We go over his "Inside Metal" doc series, his old school "Headbanger" 'zine and all our interactions with him.
